Long-time Estacada resident Frances Marlowe died at her home on Jan. 28, 2010. She was 68.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
She was born Frances Elaine in Oregon City, Ore., to Frances and Minni Alice (Bradford) Bennett. The family moved to Prineville when Frances was very young. She was raised in the Prineville area and received her schooling there.
In 1965 she met Thomas Marlowe. They were married later that year, on July 23, in Vancouver, Wash. They put down their roots in Estacada and started their family.
Frances enjoyed being a mom and a homemaker. She loved to take care of her family and was a great cook. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and reading. As the years went by and the grandkids started arriving, she cherished the time she could spend with them.
Survivors include her husband Tom; son Thomas E. Marlowe of Estacada; daughters, Michelle Marlowe of Boring and Chere Grizzell of Estacada, and eight grandchildren.
