River Mill Elementary selling movie tickets to raise funds
River Mill Elementary is partnering with Sandy Cinema/Prestige Theater to sell discounted movie tickets and raise money for the school. EHS 100th-year celebration meeting tonight
Planning is underway for Estacada High School’s 100th year on June 19. The Alumni Association is looking for alumni to help plan the event; non-alumni volunteers also needed. Planning meetings scheduled for Feb. 3 at the high school office, 355 N.E. 6th Ave., at 3:30 p.m,. and February 17 at the Cazadero Inn, 352 S.E. Healthy pastures workshops start tomorrow
Clackamas County Soil and Water Conservation District is offering a hands-on workshop series for landowners with horses who would like to have better pastures and healthier horses. This five-part series includes a soil test for your property, interpretation of soil test results, custom aerial and soil maps for your property, a copy of the Rural Lifestyles Handbook, and much more information. Participants will also gain hands-on experience taking soil samples, calculating nutrient application rates, calculating chemical application rates, calibrating sprayers, and fence building. Registration fee $25 per property. Workshops held on Feb. 4, 6, and 20, March 13 and April 17 at 14450 S.E. Johnson Rd., Milwaukie. ‘Birds of a Feather’ featured at Spiral Gallery Feb. 5

Springwater Grange hosts pancake breakfast Feb. 6

Valentine's breast cancer fundraiser event Feb. 13
The Estacada Moose Lodge will host a Valentine's dinner and dance fundraiser for breast cancer research on Feb. 13 at the Estacada Community Center beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Dancing and drawings for prizes begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $13 per person (prepaid) or $15 at the door. Tickets are available at the Moose Lodge on Eagle Creek Road or at the community center.
Musical Benefit for Baby Ella Feb. 20
At two months old, Ella was diagnosed with liver cancer. She is going through chemotherapy and surgery; join in her fight. 100 percent of donations go to help her. Need your trees trimmed?
Members of the Estacada FFA chapter are available to trim local fruit trees and ornamental trees — students are experienced and will provide all needed tools for the job. Charge will be based on number of trees — all money earned will help send chapter members to this year’s State Convention.

Free hot community meal offered at St. Aloysius in two weeks
The St. Vincent Mobile Café will serve a free, all-you-can-eat hot lunch on Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 297 N. Broadway, everyone welcome.
