Longtime Estacada resident Duane Robert Fugitt passed away on Jan. 11, 2010, in Oregon City. He was 65.

A memorial service for Fugitt was held on Jan. 17 at the George Community Church.

Duane Robert Fugitt was born on Feb. 6, 1944, in Washington, to Cecil and Ruth Fugitt.

As an adult, he was an accountant and Bible teacher. Duane loved the Lord and will love to see all his family and friends with him in heaven someday.

He is survived by his wife, Gabrielle E. Fugitt, whom he married in 1968; daughters Juliane Renner of Oregon City and Ronda Gonzalez of Happy Valley; and five grandchildren.
