A 46-year-old Estacada man was arrested Saturday by Oregon State Police with the assistance of Clackamas County Sheriff deputies and Sandy police officers.

The arrest took place after the suspect’s extensive attempt to elude on foot and assault of an Oregon State Police sergeant in the Eagle Creek area.

Randal L. Davidson was taken into custody about 20 minutes after the incident began. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on eight charges, including two warrants and several felonies.

The incident began at 10:11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, when a state police sergeant attempted to stop a 1981 Toyota pickup after noticing that there were no license plates on the vehicle.
