Katherine Emily Zollman passed away on Nov. 7, 2009. She was 86.
Kay was born in Missouri on Dec. 11, 1922, to Claude and Ethel Zollman. She moved with her family to Enterprise, Ore., and graduated from Joseph High School, having lived on the family farm.
Kay then moved to Portland, Ore., where she worked in the shipyards during World War II and met and married John Ferguson. They divorced in 1963. Kay was later employed at the U.S. Post Office where she met and married Kenneth Wilson. They moved to a farm in Eagle Creek, Ore., and, later, they both retired from the post office.
Mrs. Wilson furthered her interest in art and has left her family and friends numerous paintings. She loved animals and had many pets most of her latter years, and enjoyed reading novels.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father and 11 of her 12 siblings. Kay is survived by her husband Ken; her brother Dwayne D. Zollman of Union, Ore.; her daughter Linda Kay Howard of Auburn, Wash.; her stepson Eric Wilson of Gresham, Ore.; five grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life was held Nov. 21 at the Community Presbyterian Church of Sandy.
