Web Academy hosts open house tomorrow

Chamber luncheon today at noon
The Estacada Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon at The Cazadero Inn, 352 S.E. Highway 211, beginning at noon today, Oct. 15. Film festival entry deadline extended to Oct. 24
The Performing Arts Group of Estacada is calling for entries to their 2008 Quasi-Annual International Teeny Tiny Film Festival, a juried showcase of under-ten-minute films to be screened on November 8 at the Estacada Auditorium at Sixth and Main Streets.

Craft Fair at Harding Grange this weekend
The Harding Grange will host the Craft Fair in the Country this weekend from 9 a.m .to 6 p.m. on Oct. 17-18. The event will feature handcrafted artwork, fall produce and other items. In addition, the Harding Grange kitchen will be open for cooked-from-scratch food.

Harvest festival at Estacada Christian Church Oct. 18
Estacada Christian Church will host a harvest festival and rummage sale on Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 29101 S.E. Eagle Creek Road.
The event will include rummage sale items, crafts, baked goods and a silent auction. From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the church will host a dinner: $5 adults, $4 children.
Harvest festival dinner at community center Oct. 18
The Estacada Grower’s Market will host a harvest dinner and silent auction on Oct. 18 at the Estacada Community Center, 200 S.W. Club House Drive, beginning at 6 p.m.
The event will feature dinner by Claudia’s Catering and live music. Tickets are available at the Estacada Grower’s Market information booth Oct. 11 and Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $15 per person, $25 for two people; kids 10 and under free.
Funds from the dinner and silent auction will be used to establish a school and community garden.
ECC hosts breakfast, dinner events
The Estacada Community Center, 200 S.W. Club House Drive, hosts a weekly breakfast each Wednesday beginning at 9 a.m., and dinner is served at 5 p.m. on Fridays.
Suggested donation for breakfast is $3. Breakfast menu: Oct. 15, pancakes and sausage; Oct. 22, home-fried taters, eggs, ham; Oct. 29, French toast and sausage.
Friday night dinners will be served for $7 per person. Dinner menu: Oct. 17, Chicken fried steak; Oct. 24, Homemade chicken with noodles; Oct. 31: Chef’s Choice.

Relay for Life 2009 planning begins Oct. 20
The Relay for Life 2009 Committee will meet Monday, Oct. 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Estacada City Hall, 475 S.E. Main St. Anyone interested in coordinating the 2009 event is invited to attend.
Yogic monk to visit Estacada library Oct. 25
The Estacada Public Library, 825 N.W. Wade St., will host Yogic Monk Dada Shiilabhadrananda on Oct. 25, who will discuss vegetarianism and sustainability as part of his Oregon state lecture tour. The lecture begins at 1:30 p.m. at the library.
